Expedition concept vehicle created by DJ Funkmaster Flex into a limited-production, short
wheelbase SUV. The Expedition FMF will sport a two-tone Colorado Red-and-Black paint scheme with
Orange pinstriping and special chrome badging, a custom front fascia with integrated fog lamps, side
skirts, rear fascia and 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels. Inside, a matching Colorado Red
instrument panel, console bezel, shifter and switch bezels blend with four leather captains chairs
with red stitching, FMF red logo headrests, and a red-stitched steering wheel. Rounding out the
package is an exclusive numbered dash plaque signed by Funkmaster Flex and SIRIUS satellite Radio.
The Expedition FMF Edition also sports a 340-watt Audiophile™ Sound System, MP3 player audio jack,
Powerfold™ third-row seating, heated and cooled front seats and an optional navigation system,
power liftgate and rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
At this years SEMA show 50 cent and Pontiac showed off their one of a kind G8 sedan. The 50 Cent G8 is a collabo
between Will Castro's Unique Auto sports. Fifty hinted at the project in his video for the song “Amusement Park”
which featured the G6 GXP and G8 concept cars.
“The most interesting aspect of the project is what we didn’t do to the exterior,” said Will Castro. “We didn’t add a
body kit, spoilers or lower the car. The G8 has the right stance and appearance, so we only accented the original
form with details that made it unique to 50 Cent.”
Under the hood is a 7.0-liter LSX 427 V8 from the GM Performance Parts catalog. It shares many of its basic
components with the Corvette Z06's LS7 engine and is dyno-tested to more than 500 horsepower.
Equally earth-shaking is the custom 800-watt JBL audio system, which bundles amplifiers, tuner, speakers and
subwoofer.A first-class audio system was a must for 50 Cent, and this one rocks the spot,” said Castro. “In fact,
the G8 itself just-plain rocks and makes a great platform to build a custom, high-performance street car.”
For the exterior the G8 was fitted with 22 inch chrome deep dish rims hugged with a low-profile Pirelli Scorpion
Zero tires, a Borla stainless-steel exhaust system and a Spies Hecker torch-red exterior paint job accented with
dark-tinted glass and tail lights.
The major customs was done to the inside, the G8’s black, leather-covered seats were re-trimmed with
perforated red leather inserts – with similar trim used on the armrests. The 50 Cent/Unique Auto sports logo was
embroidered into the seat headrests and custom floor mats.
Partnering with Pontiac has given me the opportunity to create something truly unique, a customized
performance vehicle I am really proud of," 50 Cent said. "The G8 is like none other and it pushes the boundaries
of what people think a car has to be."The totally customized G8 will go on sale early 2008
American Gangster Jay-Z is branching into the automotive world, as
the Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam CEO/President has forged an alliance with
automobile manufacturing giant, General Motors (GM). The
announcement came during media previews for the North American
International Auto Show back ON Jan. 6, when Jay-Z emerged from a
GMC Yukon Denali SUV on stage and announced a new color for the
SUV called "Jay-Z Blue”. Jay-Z forged an alliance with GM two years
ago and started working with the company's global color studio to
create the new reflective hue for the Denali. The Jay-Z Blue is still in
the concept stage, but it's expected to roll off the assembly lines and
into showrooms later this year.
